Doctors Park is such a beautiful location for family photos, especially for families who want a relaxed session near Lake Michigan.

For this summer session, we spent our time along the beach photographing a mix of family portraits, individual photos of the kids, and plenty of the candid moments in between. With two little ones, there was lots of movement, playing, laughing and cuddling with mom and dad, which is exactly what I want a family session to feel like.

Rather than expecting young kids to stand still and smile for every photo, I like to give them room to be themselves. We still get those classic family portraits, but some of my favorite images are usually the ones that happen in between.

Family Photos at Doctors Park

Located in Fox Point just north of Milwaukee, Doctors Park is one of those locations that gives us a beautiful natural setting without having to travel far from the city.

The beach along Lake Michigan gives us plenty of room for kids to explore and play, while the surrounding trees and greenery add variety to the gallery. I especially love it for summer family sessions when we can spend time walking along the shoreline and let the session unfold naturally.

For families in Fox Point, Whitefish Bay, Bayside, Mequon and the greater Milwaukee area, Doctors Park is a beautiful option for family photos close to home.
